Salamanca has a range of Escape rooms. They open during the week and at weekends too. A reservation is required and if you want to go at the weekend advanced booking is required! They were fully booked for the entire month we wanted to go. However we are very glad we waited and went! It was great!
We chose to go to Enigmaster as it was the best reviewed escape room in Salamanca. It has an interesting heist theme with exciting twists as you advance. We escaped in 54 minutes and 3 seconds, although we were told only 35% of teams successfully manage to escape.
A basic knowledge of Spanish will definitely help. We were worried that some of the clues may be too cryptic to understand. However, the puzzles don’t require an extensive Spanish knowledge – most would be easy enough to understand for any English speaker. Instructions and the occasional tip are given in Spanish though, so it probably would be an advantage to take a Spanish speaking friend.
Our next challenge will be to visit Sherlock’s Home escape room. We’ll let you know how it compares!
Where is Enigmaster? – Map
Arrive early as it is a little difficult to find. Look for the little green sign amongst the lawyer’s offices (abogados) at the top of the stairs.
Where is Sherlock’s Home? – Map
Between Plaza Mayor and Gran Via – it’s not too difficult to find.
A quick Google search will bring up Whatapp numbers to contact to make a reservation.
