Salamanca is a city of restaurants, bars and cafes. Just walking around you will find plenty of options. Prices are generally similar at a couple euros for a coffee. Here are some places that we’ve been. Read our cafe reviews and see if there is one you’d like to visit too.
La Mariseca
Come for a coffee in the day and a few beers later on. Enjoy with a slice of tortilla or whatever you like the look of.
Cafe Bar Heladería Los Jesuitas
Don't come for the food, but enjoy a coffee in the middle of the park on a summers day.
Café Bar El Trastero
A nice little option that has terrace seating with views down to the cathedral. Inside admire their collection of international number plates.
Calle Rúa Mayor
Calle Rúa Mayor has a lot of other cafe bars to choose from. Most offer a menu of the day, but also make the perfect spot to people watch with a coffee.
Most cafes are also bars, so you can come for a coffee and stay for a few beers. Enjoy a tapas if you are peckish. In summer people watch from the terrace and in winter enjoy a break from the bitter cold by venturing inside.
