Salamanca is a province with an Atlantic coastline is Spain. It is located in the southwest corner of Castile y Leon region of Spain, in the western part of Spain near Portugal. It is the capital of the province of Salamanca which belongs to the autonomous region of Castile and Leon. Salamanca is considered as one of the most spectacular Renaissance cities in Europe.

Salamanca is known to have a very attractive place to visit, cultural values, and a pleasure place for night life, conducive place for learning a bit of Spanish and their recreational activities offered.

Since tourism is the primary economic activity in the city, Salamanca is a popular tourist destination especially in summer days. In the year 2002, Salamanca is awarded with the title of European Capital of Culture in Bruges.

Salamanca’s inhabitants are said to be the purest speaking Spanish in Spain for that reason it is popular with people all over the world who want to learn Spanish.
